Preserving & Sharing the Heritage of Roswell, GA
  
Award-Winning Achievements
The Roswell Historical Society has been instrumental in preserving historic community landmarks and raising awareness of Roswell's distinguished history.

Bulloch Hall – Award in 1978 from The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for “outstanding achievement in the field of preservation” for efforts in cooperation with the City of Roswell to preserve antebellum Bulloch Hall.



Walking Tour Program – 1978 “Community Service Award” from the Freedom’s Foundation at Valley Forge for “outstanding achievement in bringing about a better understanding of the American way of life.”



Vickery Creek Dam – Award for “Outstanding Restoration Project” in 1982 from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for a campaign to save the 1853 dam associated with the Roswell Manufacturing Company textile mills.


Archibald Smith Plantation Home – “Outstanding Stewardship Award” in 1993 from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation for restoration, archaeology, and opening the ASPH to the public for the first time in its history.


Bulloch Hall – “Past, Present, & Future” award from Friends of Bulloch, Inc. in 2003 for outstanding effort in preservation and years of continuous support to Bulloch Hall.


Roswell Cemeteries - Award in 2007 from the City of Roswell and the Roswell Historic Preservation Commission for recognition of the exemplary significant volunteer contribution to the "Campaign to Preserve Georgia's Historic Cemeteries".
