Preserving & Sharing the Heritage of Roswell, GA

Ongoing Projects

We administer and staff a Research Library and Archives, a state-of-the-art facility located in the Roswell Cultural Arts Center in the municipal complex. A staff Archivist and trained volunteers help patrons access the historical materials held in our collections. Researchers, students, real-estate developers, archeologists, City officials, and genealogists patronize our facility, recognized by archivists and museum professionals as one of the finest of its kind in the state.

We conduct oral history interviews with long-time residents of Roswell, WWII veterans, and other notables. The oral history tapes are stored in our Archives and available to our patrons.

We acquire period furniture and decorative arts to permanently furnish "Mittie"s Room" for antebellum Bulloch Hall.

We place markers to identify historic properties and sites in Roswell. Our Markers program began in the early 1980s. New markers are placed when a property is deemed of historic significance.
